DinnerFirst dates are a lot like job interviews; you’ll size up your date, measure their qualities, and determine whether there’s a chance at a future together.  Thus, just as during a job interview, making a good first impression is imperative, however you should also strive to be yourself.  Here are a few dating tips to help you succeed on that awkward first date:

~Be on time – don’t be late, and don’t keep your date waiting either, timeliness shows that you respect their time.

~Smell great – smell is the sense most commonly associated with memory, and you want your date to have a fond memory of you; just be sure you don’t overdo it!

~Watch your manners – most first dates involve eating out at a restaurant, and good table manners are essential to making a good impression.

~Be real – this goes hand in hand with being yourself, but make sure you leave your date with a sense of who you are, and remember, while you want to appear desirable, don’t boast too much, ask about your date too!
